Vanessa started her autism career entering data at the University of Michigan Autism & Communication Disorders Center (UMACC) in 2003. She worked with Cathy on several measurement related projects, including understanding factors impacting ADI-R scores and developmental milestones being used in genetic phenotyping studies, calibrated scores for ADOS domains and revising the ADOS Module 4 algorithm. She is currently a Professor at Rutgers University, where she leads the LifeSPAN Lab focusing on autism in adulthood. Projects span improving methods for adult assessment and adapting supports to promote well-being for autistic adults.
