Sofia Helena Gomez De La Rosa, MD, MA

Sofia H. Gomez De La Rosa is an international physician from Colombia who earned a Master's degree in Human Development & Psychology at UCLA under the guidance of Dr. Cathy Lord. Throughout graduate school, Sofia explored the intersection between childhood trauma and ASD. She also contributed to research projects including translating the Brief Observation of Symptoms of Autism (BOSA) tool into Spanish, coding Brief Observation of Social Communication Change (BOSCC) videos, and qualitative data analysis. Sofia is currently working as a general physician at a mental health hospital in Colombia. She is pursuing further specialization in sexual health, with the goal of advancing the identification, treatment, and prevention of childhood sexual trauma.
