About
As a doctoral student of Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan, Kaite Gotham worked with Dr. Lord to improve the accuracy and extend the utility of commonly used autism diagnostic instruments. Kaite's current work focuses on emotional health problems in the autistic community: Her lab team uses behavioral, psychophysiological, and community-participatory methods to study mechanisms underlying depressed mood in autistic adults. Their goal is to develop more effective and neurodiversity-affirming treatments to support mental health in neurodivergent people across the lifespan.
