Amy Esler worked with Dr. Lord at the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center (UMACC) back in the 2000s. Since then, Dr. Lord has been her most impactful mentor. Amy has continued to collaborate with the Lord Lab and Dr. Lord's former graduate students, Somer Bishop, Vanessa Bal, and Sophy Kim, on validation of the ADOS and ADI-R and on trainings for these measures. Amy got her autism career started at UMACC and went on to develop the Autism and Neurodevelopment Clinic at the University of Minnesota to reflect the best practices she learned from Dr. Lord and her team. Amy now is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and directs the Clinic-Research Integration hub at the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain at the University of Minnesota.
